A native Tasmanian, Stuart (El Jefe) travelled extensively in the Middle East, South and Central America before seeing the opportunity to live the good life in Panama City. After taking over ownership of Mamallena 3 years ago, Stuart realized the need for a ‘Real Backpackers Hostel’ in Panama and moved Mamallena to its current location in September 2008. Stuart can often be seen in the bars and clubs around Panama and has all the advice and recommendations that you could possibly need. |

Luke has been traveling, working and basically bumming around for the last 10 years. After spending the summer in Greece punishing his liver, he came to Panama in September to help in the relocation of Mamallena. Normally seen with a mop in his hand, Luke can occasionally be spotted out on the town. As of March 2011 Luke is no longer spending as much time here as he would like.
